Hi Kristopher,
Thank you for your review, which we take seriously. Your timeline is incorrect. Bailey’s first completed reservation was her March 22, 2025 evaluation. The December 26, 2022 and March 19, 2025 evaluations were canceled. Our records show six completed reservations: one evaluation and five boarding stays, including one at Heights. Your claim of attending Montrose since 2023 does not match that history.
Your review omits your responses to our updates.
On September 2, you wrote: “Oy, I’m so sorry to hear this. I’m honestly not sure what has gotten into Bailey — she was somewhat similar during her last stay, but this wasn’t an issue during the several visits before that, and she has received some great report cards in the past.”View highlighted email ↓
You added: “I appreciate you giving her breaks and taking the precautions needed.”View highlighted email ↓
On September 4, you wrote: “Please keep her isolated for the remainder of the trip. I'm tired of this dog.”View highlighted email ↓
In another September 4 email, you wrote: “This silly dog can't behave with a group going forward, I accept it -- not sure what got into her recently, went from a great dog receiving great report cards to all of a sudden an "aggressive bully dog." I'd love to drop back off at the rescue where I got her in the first place, I will no longer ask that you add her to playtime going forward. My job requires me to travel so I am left with no choice.”View highlighted email ↓
Those are your words. You acknowledged the concerns, thanked us for taking precautions, requested separation, accepted that Bailey would no longer join group play, and expressed wanting to return her to the rescue. Your review includes none of that context.
Staff documented snapping, charging into another dog, pinning dogs down, muzzle punching their undersides, and nipping through kennel doors. We communicated those observations and tried breaks, rotations, and renewed group participation. On August 15, we explicitly said the rough play involved both dogs and did not consider that interaction aggressive.View highlighted email ↓
Our decisions were based on observed behavior. Your suggestion of breed bias does not address those observations or your acknowledgment of them. Solo care meant removal from group play with individual bathroom breaks with a handler, protecting Bailey and the other dogs.View highlighted email ↓
Regarding your starvation allegation, our August 28–September 7 feeding records list your supplied food, scheduled portions, and numerous meals marked “Ate All.” Those records document food consumption. We need the dates of the five-day stay you reference to compare the corresponding records directly.
On October 23, you asked about another extended stay: “I know this is about a 43 day trip, would love to understand options.”View highlighted email ↓
We provided pricing and recommended Heights for its dedicated solo program, explaining that Montrose could still accommodate Bailey. You replied: “She's a solo, what do you mean?” Solo care had already been explained and accepted in your emails. You then wrote: “Disregard. No need to respond.”View highlighted email ↓
You wrote that “all truths come to light.” Your acknowledgments, instructions, and request for another 43-night stay are part of that truth.
Wag’n World takes every review seriously. We will defend the reputation we have spent nearly ten years building when a review omits documented facts and makes allegations our records give us grounds to dispute.
You may disagree with a care decision or choose another provider. We stand behind our responsibility to protect Bailey and every dog entrusted to us. We will not compromise their safety to avoid a negative review or leave these omissions and inaccuracies unanswered.
