Wag’n World Expands Annual Blanket & Food Drive to Support Five Houston Rescue Organizations
Houston, TX – November 1, 2025 — Wag’n World, Houston’s independently owned dog daycare, boarding, and grooming facility, has announced the launch of its 6th Annual Blanket & Food Drive, running from November 1–30. For the first time, the drive will expand beyond its long-standing partnership with Harris County Pets to include four additional local rescue organizations: Pippy’s Pals Rescue, Tiny Paws Rescue, Rescued Pets Movement (RPM), and Friends for Life.
What began six years ago as a small, community-based effort has grown into one of the city’s most anticipated annual pet-focused donation drives. This year’s expansion reflects Wag’n World’s commitment to making a broader impact in Houston’s rescue community.
“At Wag’n World, we’ve always believed in giving back to the rescues and shelters that work so hard to save lives every day,” said Nathan Rao, owner of Wag’n World. “By expanding our donation drive to five partners, we’re ensuring that more pets in need — from large county shelters to smaller rescue groups — get the blankets, food, and comfort they deserve this holiday season.”
A Community Effort to Save and Support
The drive runs the entire month of November, with donation bins available at both Wag’n World locations — Montrose and Heights. Items collected will directly benefit animals in need, from abandoned puppies and senior dogs to cats awaiting adoption.
Each rescue partner plays a critical role in Houston’s animal welfare landscape:
Pippy’s Pals Rescue — A boutique rescue focusing on quality over quantity, ensuring every dog receives the right foster and forever home.
Tiny Paws Rescue — Dedicated to the care and placement of small-breed dogs.
Rescued Pets Movement (RPM) — Providing transport and second chances for thousands of Houston’s homeless pets each year.
Friends for Life — Houston’s only no-kill, LEED-certified shelter and adoption center.
Harris County Pets — Serving as the primary intake facility for thousands of pets in need each year.
How to Get Involved
Community members are invited to donate new or gently used blankets, sheets, unopened pet food, and other essential supplies that pets could use. Donations can be dropped off daily at:
